Trading Platform Plus500 Announces Increased Core Profit

As the company expanded its U.S. business and introduced more products, including the rapidly expanding predictions market, trading platform Plus500 (PLUSP.L) announced an increase in half-year core earnings on Monday, helped by increased trading activity.
Citing increased trading activity following increased spending in client acquisition, the Israeli fintech company announced a 1% increase in core profit to $187.5 million for the six-month period ending June 30.
In early trading on Monday, the company’s shares were up 5% at 3942 pence.
Plus500 claimed that the first half of 2026 represented a “genuine step-change” for its U.S. business as a result of investments in the consumer forecasting market and the development of its product line, which now includes five-day, 24-hour trading.
During the half-year period, the number of new consumers increased by 17%, but in the second quarter, it decreased by 12%.
Following multiple analyst upgrades early this year, the group anticipates reporting 2026 revenue and core profit in accordance with current market expectations.
According to Plus500, significant growth drivers in the second half are anticipated to be more B2B partnerships, ongoing scaling of the prediction markets product, and further development of its global futures business.
The company is still considering other bolt-on purchases.
Additionally, Plus500 reported $182.5 million in shareholder payouts, which included $82.5 million in total dividends and a $100 million share buyback.
