Peyman Kargar Appointed CEO and Director of TVS Motor

TVS Motor Company has appointed Peyman Kargar as its new Chief Executive Officer and Director, marking a change in the company’s top leadership. Kargar will take over from K N Radhakrishnan on January 27, 2027. Until then, Radhakrishnan will continue as CEO.
The company announced the appointment through a filing with the National Stock Exchange on August 28. From the date Kargar takes charge, Radhakrishnan will continue to serve as a non-executive director until the company’s annual general meeting scheduled for July 2027.
The appointment brings an experienced automotive executive to the top role at TVS Motor. Peyman Kargar currently serves as the company’s International President, a position he has held since joining TVS Motor in April 2025.
During his time leading the international business, Kargar has focused on expanding the company’s presence outside India. TVS Motor said its global business now contributes 29% of its sales volume and has been growing strongly.
Before joining TVS Motor, Kargar held several senior positions in the global automotive industry. He spent more than three decades working across Europe, Asia and the Middle East, with experience covering commercial operations, manufacturing, sales, product planning and business transformation.
Peyman Kargar also held senior leadership positions at Renault and Nissan. He served as Global Chairman and President of Infiniti, Nissan’s luxury vehicle brand, where he was involved in areas including product planning, research and development, manufacturing, sales and finance.
His earlier career also included leadership roles across the Africa, Middle East and India region and as CEO of the Datsun brand. He was also associated with the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance as a Senior Vice President and adviser to its management board.
Kargar holds an MBA from London Business School and a mechanical engineering degree from INSA de Lyon.
The appointment of the TVS Motor new CEO comes as the company continues to expand its international operations. With Kargar’s global automotive experience, his new role is expected to bring a strong international focus to the company’s next phase of growth.
